More Than $10,000 Stolen in Overnight Burglary at Gas Station, Police Say

A substantial amount of money was stolen in a burglary from a gas station on Rt. 378 Thursday, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release Friday.

The Speedway police say was burglarized Jan. 6 is located at 3622 Rt. 378.

A substantial amount of money was stolen from a gas station on Rt. 378 overnight Thursday, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release Friday afternoon.

According to police, an unknown person or unknown persons “unlawfully entered the Speedway and removed a safe and cash, estimated amount over $10,000.”

Police said whoever stole the safe and cash also tried to break into an ATM in the store, but was unable to do so.

Police didn’t say if there are store surveillance images or video of the suspect or suspects.

The Speedway is located at 3622 Rt. 378. Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
