Harriet E. Zingley, 91, of Hellertown (OBITUARY)

Harriet E. Zingley, 91, of Hellertown, entered eternal rest on March 2, 2015 at ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. She was the wife of William J. Zingley Jr. She was born in Hellertown on March 20, 1923 to Herbert W. and Grace (Laury) Riegel. Harriet worked as a secretary at the P.B. and NE Railroad, Bethlehem, and was a graduate of the former Bethlehem Business College. She was a devoted and faithful member of Lower Saucon United Church of Christ, Hellertown, where she was church secretary for 35 years, a Sunday school teacher, a member of the church choir and handbell choir, a member of the Hellertown Woman’s Club, and a member of the Calypso Chapter of the Eastern Star.

SURVIVORS

In addition to her loving husband of 67 years; son: Jay W. (Dori) of Macungie; grandchildren: Jason (Allison), Jessica (Joshua) Endy and Jeffrey; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four siblings.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Lower Saucon United Church of Christ, 1375 Third Ave., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 10:30 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. The Rev. Dale Sattizahn will officiate the service.
