‘Cinderella’ Will Feature Saucon Students
A number of talented Saucon Valley students will perform in a three-act ballet production of the classic fairy tale āCinderellaā that will be stagedĀ Saturday, May 30 at 2 p.m.Ā in Baker Hall at Lehigh Universityās Zoellner Arts Center in Bethlehem.

The part of Cinderella will be performed byĀ Rachel Altemose, a seniorĀ at Saucon Valley High School whoĀ is currently nominated for a Freddy Award as Outstanding Featured Dancer for āPippin.ā
Other Saucon students will also dance in Cinderella, includingĀ Brendan Weaver (Stepsister ā Skinny), Davis Weaver (Stepsister ā Dumpy), Jillian Sinko, Madelyn Mondschein, Meghan Altemose, Abigail Altemose, Katie Lohr, Emma Shelby and Olivia Bortz.
The ballet is described in a news release as being family-friendly and set to the music of Sergei Prokofiev.
It is choreographed by Artistic Director Karen Kroninger Knerr, and will feature nearly 100 PA Youth Ballet dancers, adult community dancers and guest artists.
The part of the Fairy Grandmother will be performed by Bethlehem Catholic senior Gianna Stettner, and guest artist Anton Kandaurovāa professional ballet dancer who is currently a principal dancer with the Connecticut Balletāwill perform the role of Prince Charming.

Cinderellaās Ball, described as a āfun, meet-the-cast event for childrenā willĀ take place immediately after the main performance at Baker Hall.
Children will have the opportunity to join Cinderella and the Prince in their Royal Coach on the stage for photographs, and then journey up the Royal Staircase to the Castle Ballroom where they will meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother, the Stepsisters and Stepmother, the Four Fairies, the Court Jester and other cast members. There they will enjoy dance lessons with the Stepsisters, entertainment by the Court Jester, glass slipper fittings and light refreshments. There will also be raffle items and a special gift for each child.
Tickets to Cinderellaās Ball are $15 for children 15 and under (no charge for adults).
