Man, 34, Killed in Upper Bucks Crash

Authorities say a New Jersey man died over the weekend as a result of injuries he suffered in a car crash in upper Bucks County.

Authorities say a New Jersey man died over the weekend as a result of injuries he suffered in a car crash in upper Bucks County.

According to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio, 34-year-old Michael Amend of High Bridge, Hunterdon County, was a passenger in a vehicle that struck a tree in the 800 block of River Road (Rt. 32) in Tinicum Township shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday.

Buglio said Amend was pronounced dead from blunt force injuries at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill at 6:25 p.m. Saturday. He ruled the manner of Amend’s death to be accidental.

In addition to the Lehigh County Coroner’s office, the Tinicum Township Police Department is investigating the crash, according to Buglio’s Oct. 22 news release.
