Hellertown Woman Indicted by Feds in Alleged $54 Million Ponzi Scheme

A 32-year-old Hellertown woman who was chief operating officer and president of Bala Cynwyd-based Mantria Corporation–a company that purportedly took investors’ money and invested it in green energy and real estate ventures–has been indicted by federal authorities on charges that she profited from what was allegedly a $54 million Ponzi scheme, according to an article published by the Express-Times.

Amanda Knorr, who has an address on Front Street according to online records, is accused of conspiring with former Bethlehem resident Troy Wragg, 34, and a Colorado man to use Internet and other forms of media to attract investors to what U.S. Attorney Zane David Memeger called “a hoax,” according to the article, which cites both a grand jury indictment that was unsealed Thursday and news releases.
