Monday, April 14 was a special day for the Lehigh University women’s basketball team, as they celebrated a successful season at Drip, a popular burger restaurant on Main Street in Hellertown that supported the team during their impressive 2024-2025 season. Last month the Mountain Hawks clinched their first Patriot League championship and made it to the first round of the NCAA tournament, where they lost to Duke. The Lehigh student newspaper, The Brown & White, published an article commemorating the team’s 2024-2025 season on March 25.

In addition to helping arrange the celebratory dinner with the team’s coaches, Drip owner Bob Weill prepared a special cake for the team’s Ella Stemmer, a senior guard who lost a tooth when she was elbowed in the game against Holy Cross March 13. The tooth-shaped cake featured writing that read “ELLA 3-13-25” in memory of the missing chomper.
