Bubbakoo's Burritos
Signs required by township zoning ordinance hang in the window where a Bubbakoo’s Burritos is expected to open this summer in Lower Saucon Township.

A popular Mexican chain, Bubbakoo’s Burritos, is planning to open in the Creekside Marketplace shopping center on Rt. 412 in Lower Saucon Township this summer.

Bubbakoo's Burritos
Some area residents are already familiar with Bubbakoo’s Burritos, which has a location in the Trainers Corner shopping center on Rt. 309 in Quakertown.

According to township zoning department signs, the restaurant will be located where Unrivaled Fitness + Wellness was previously a tenant, on the south side of the Giant food store.

Bubbakoo’s Burritos began in 2008 in Point Pleasant, N.J., with a single store opened by entrepreneurs Bill Hart and Paul Altero. Nearly two decades later, the company has grown to include over 100 locations in 15 states, according to the Bubbakoo’s Burritos website. Currently, the nearest franchise is located in the Trainers Corner shopping center on Rt. 309 in Quakertown.

A mid-July opening is expected for the Saucon Valley Bubbakoo’s Burritos, which will be similar to the Quakertown location, a team member there said Monday.

Customers can also customize their burrito order with a signature sauce such as General Tso, Sweet Chili, Sriracha Ranch, Chipotle Crema or Ghost Pepper and choose from a variety of traditional additions such as rice, beans, salsa, pico de gallo, sour cream, onion, cheese and jalapenos.

Other menu items include specialty burritos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, taco salads, tacos, nachos, chips and salsa, loaded fries, the Chiwawa and desserts such as mini churros and deep-fried boardwalk cookies.
