Police Respond to Crash on Rt. 378 in Lower Saucon

A Lower Saucon Township Police SUV blocks part of northbound Rt. 378 at Seidersville Road, where a multi-vehicle accident was restricting the flow of traffic shortly after 6 p.m. Monday. Dewey EMS and Lower Saucon Fire Rescue were also on-scene.

Police officers, volunteer firefighters and EMTs were on the scene of a multi-vehicle accident at Rt. 378 and Seidersville Road in Lower Saucon Township shortly after 6 p.m. Monday.

The crash appeared to involve two vehicles, one of which was partially embedded in a guide rail at the intersection’s southwest corner.

A Dewey EMS ambulance was on the scene, along with Lower Saucon Fire Rescue, but it was unclear if there were any injuries.

Traffic was moving through the intersection, however northbound traffic on Rt. 378 was reduced to one lane approaching Seidersville Road, where a fire police officer was directing traffic.

Traffic appeared to be lighter than normal, due to the Memorial Day holiday.

Motorists in the area should use caution or seek alternate routes while restrictions remain in place.

The crash appeared to involve two sedans, one of which was embedded in a guide rail at the southeast corner of the busy intersection of Rt. 378 and Seidersville Road in Lower Saucon Township. A number of people were visible speaking to first responders which included Lower Saucon Township Police, Lower Saucon Fire Rescue volunteers and ambulance personnel.
