Center Valley Woman Dies from Crash-Related Injuries

A 90-year-old Center Valley woman died May 31 from injuries suffered in a car crash near Beltzville Lake last month, Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio said in a news release Tuesday.

According to the release, Margaret R. Connor was the operator of a vehicle that collided with another vehicle in the 7600 block of Interchange Road in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, on Wednesday, May 20, around 2:30 p.m.

Buglio attributed Connor’s death at St. Luke’s University Hospital-Bethlehem to multiple traumatic injuries and ruled that it was accidental.

He said that in addition to his office, Pennsylvania State Police at Lehighton are investigating the crash.

According to a May 27 story published by Tnonline.com, the crash occurred when Connor rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old Stroudsburg woman, who according to police was also injured.

The news site reported that Connor and Nora A. Ahmed were both initially taken to St. Luke’s Hospital-Carbon Campus in Franklin Township for treatment.
