Panther Pregame Football Focus: Saucon Valley v. Northwestern Lehigh (Brought to You by Braveheart Highland Pub)

Friday night the Saucon Valley Panthers (3-2) will play host to the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers (2-3). Northwestern Lehigh fell in their first three games while battling Palmerton (42-14), Salisbury (7-3) and Palisades (46-0). The Tigers did, however, win their last two contests by defeating Wilson (29-26) and Pen Argyl (43-14). The Panthers are looking to get back on the winning track after a heartbreak loss to Southern Lehigh last week.

Saucon Source Little Panther Football Week 5 Rundown (Brought to You by EMB Contracting)

On Saturday the Little Panthers had the honor of playing at the Saucon Valley High School stadium and battling the Palmerton Blue Bombers. It was Week 5 of the Colonial League Youth Football League; the fifth week of eight regular season games. It was a great day for Little Panther football.

Panther Play of the Week: Wolfe Gets Super-Freaky on Waggle (Brought to You by Hellertown Bakery)

On this highlight play, Wolfe executes a play-action fake to Zach Petiet and rolls to his right. His receivers appeared well-covered so Wolfe becomes super-freaky. The senior reverses field, picks up a bone-crunching block from Tim Weaver (Ryan Meyers Krunch-Time! award winner) and accelerates to win the race into the end zone.

Spartans Edge Panthers 31-28 in Slugfest Classic (Sponsored by Cheyenne Reiman, Realtor)

Saucon Valley opened the stadium gates and welcomed the Southern Lehigh Spartans to town as part of their 2017 Homecoming. Those in attendance, and the Service Electric TV2 viewing audience, were treated to an intensely entertaining contest. When it was all over, however, it was the Spartans who were able to throw the last punch.
