Saucon Valley football players Zack Thatcher, Christian Carvis and Michael Kane delivered poinsettias to the residents at Saucon Valley Manor in Hellertown Monday, helping to brighten the holiday atmosphere at the assisted living facility. The poinsettias were donated to the football club by Dan Schantz Greenhouse and were used as table decorations at the club's end of season banquet.
The Saucon Valley High School Marching Band did exceptionally well at the U.S. Bands Nationals Competition Saturday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The band scored a total of 91.225 points in its category, which is believed to be the second highest score in its history of participating in marching band competitions.
