11 Cited During Rt. 378 Aggressive Driving Enforcement

Lower Saucon Township Police said nine drivers were cited during an aggressive driving enforcement initiative on Rt. 378 Wednesday between 7 and 11 a.m.

According to a police news release, five citations were issued for speeding, five citations were issued for red light violations and one citation was given out for driving with an expired registration. Two written warnings were also issued, police said.

8 Cited During Rt. 378 Aggressive Driving Crackdown Monday

Lower Saucon Township Police say eight motorists were cited during an aggressive driving enforcement initiative on Rt. 378 Monday morning. Between 7 and 11 a.m., police said three citations were issued to motorists for speeding, three were issued for red light violations, and two citations were issued for driving with faulty equipment.

17 Citations Issued in Latest Rt. 378 Aggressive Driving Crackdown

Lower Saucon Township Police announced in a news release Friday that during an aggressive driving enforcement campaign along Rt. 378 Wednesday, a total of 17 citations were issued to motorists for a variety of alleged infractions. According to the news release, 12 motorists were cited for speeding, two were cited for driving with an expired inspection, one was cited for driving under suspension, one was cited for permitting an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle, and one was cited for a seatbelt violation. Police said the initiative was conducted between the hours of 6 and 11 a.m.

It was one in a series of aggressive driving crackdowns conducted by the township police department along Rt. 378 in recent months.

LSPD Issues 5 Speeding Tickets Monday Morning

The Lower Saucon Township Police Department announced in a news release that officers issued five speeding tickets Monday morning, as part of an aggressive driving enforcement initiative along Rt. 378. Police said the crackdown took place between 6 and 10 a.m., and also resulted in citations being issued for driving with an expired inspection (4), driving on a suspended license (2), a red light violation, passing in a no passing zone and disobedience to a traffic control device. Township police have conducted several aggressive driving enforcement blitzes along the heavily-traveled Rt. 378 corridor since late March.

Lower Saucon Township Police have announced the results of another aggressive driving detail, which the department conducted Tuesday from 7 to 11 a.m. along the Rt. 378 corridor. According to police, seven drivers were issued citations for speeding, six were cited for disregarding a red traffic light, and one was cited for turning right on red where it was prohibited. Additionally, police said a total of eight written warnings were issued to drivers, including five for speeding. The aggressive driving detail–the third the LSPD has conducted along Rt.

LSPD Cites 10 During April 1 Aggressive Driving Detail

The Lower Saucon Township Police Department issued 10 citations and three written warnings during an April 1 aggressive driving detail along the Rt. 378 corridor, according to a news release issued Thursday. According to police, the detail was conducted from 7 to 11 a.m. and was sponsored by PA Aggressive Driving–a statewide initiative that provides funding to local police to help enforce traffic safety laws. Police said two citations were issued for speeding, two for a disregarding a red light, one for “required position and method of turning,” two for driving with an expired inspection, one for driving on a suspended license and one for driving an unregistered vehicle. The warnings issued were for disobeying traffic control devices and a faulty repair.

14 Citations Issued During Aggressive Driving Detail

Lower Saucon Township Police announced on their Facebook page and in a news release Tuesday that 14 citations were issued to motorists along the Rt. 378 corridor during an aggressive driving detail Monday morning from 6 to 11 a.m.

Police said the detail was conducted simultaneously by 336 municipal police departments as part of the PA Aggressive Driving initiative to reduce the number of crashes, injuries and deaths caused by aggressive driving on state roadways. In Lower Saucon, the following citations were issued:

Police said written warnings were also issued for speeding (1), proof of valid insurance (2), traffic control devices (2), repairing a faulty exhaust system (1) and overtaking on the right (1).
