Two teenagers from Lower Saucon Township are about to begin an exciting journey to North Carolina, where they have been chosen to compete with the Northeast Team in the elite USA Baseball NTIS 15U Cup later this month.
A Saucon Valley student is already making waves as a baseball player at the tender age of 11.
A 10-year-old Little League player from the Saucon Valley has been chosen for a national team’s identification series. Antonio Albanese of Lower Saucon Township will participate in the USA Baseball 12U National Team Identification Series later this summer, his mom Jodi said. The series will be held Aug. 27-30 in Cary, N.C., and will be used to determine the 2016 12U national team. Albanese will be part of the 18-player North Atlantic squad, which will compete against teams from 15 other regions, Albanese said.
