Argument Over Glue Escalated to Terroristic Threat, Police Say

A New Year’s Day argument between two men over glue for a truck escalated and resulted in charges of harassment and terroristict threats for one of them, Lower Saucon Township Police announced Monday in a news release. According to police, Richard Kemmerer, 55, of the 3900 block of Freemansburg Avenue, Bethlehem Township, threatened a resident of the 2100 block of Johnston Avenue in Steel City to the point where he feared for his life. “I’m going to (expletive) shoot you,” is what police say Kemmerer admitted telling the other man. The threat was taken seriously, in part because “there are guns in the residence,” police said in the news release. Police said Kemmerer was arraigned on the charges of harassment and terroristic threats before District Judge Patricia Romig-Passaro and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of 10 percent of $2,000 bail.
