14 Citations Issued During Aggressive Driving Detail

Lower Saucon Township Police announced on their Facebook page and in a news release Tuesday that 14 citations were issued to motorists along the Rt. 378 corridor during an aggressive driving detail Monday morning from 6 to 11 a.m.

Police said the detail was conducted simultaneously by 336 municipal police departments as part of the PA Aggressive Driving initiative to reduce the number of crashes, injuries and deaths caused by aggressive driving on state roadways.

In Lower Saucon, the following citations were issued:

  • Speeding (4)
  • Following Too Closely (1)
  • Overtaking on the Right (1)
  • Disregarding a Steady Red Traffic Light (4)
  • Turning Movement and Required Use of Signal (1)
  • Required Position and Method of Turning (1)
  • Adult Use of Seatbelt (2)

Police said written warnings were also issued for speeding (1), proof of valid insurance (2), traffic control devices (2), repairing a faulty exhaust system (1) and overtaking on the right (1).
