Cow in Road Results in Citation, Police Say

A Lower Saucon Township woman who’s received citations because of escaped cows in the past received another one Sunday, according to township police.

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said that shortly after 6:15 a.m. an officer responded to the area of Flint Hill Road between Waldheim and Leithsville roads for a report of a cow in the roadway.

“Officers did locate a small cow outside of its pasture causing a traffic hazard,” the release said.

“The cow was returned to the fenced in area of the farm without incident,” it added.

Police said Christine Hess, of the 1900 block of Waldheim Road, “was cited under local ordinance for failure to keep the cow on her property.”
