Crossroads Hotel has been an institution in Hellertown for decades.

So when news broke last week that the Matey family would retire and close their famous eatery (which is currently for sale) on Saturday, May 7, 2016, emotions understandably ran high, with nostalgic customers from far and wide flocking to the iconic building at Main and High streets to enjoy their favorite foods and a view of the “big fish” (a blue marlin mounted on the dining room wall) one last time.

Perhaps your first date with your future spouse was at Crossroads, or maybe it was a tradition for your team to go there after Little League games back in the day.

Whether you are new to the area or you’ve been a Crossroads regular for 50 years, Saucon Source wants to hear about your favorite memory. Current and former employees are also invited to share their memorable experiences from working at Hellertown’s best-known restaurant.
