In news releases Tuesday, the Lower Saucon Township Police Department said it is investigating two recent cases of illegal dumping/littering in the eastern part of the township.

In the first case, police said a large pile of brush and limbs was dumped on the Ray Crafts & Sons property in the 2400 block of Riverside Drive. The yard waste had been dumped there sometime during the week prior to Dec. 22.

In the second case, police said a pile of drywall pieces and 2×4 wood scraps was discovered dumped along the shoulder of the 2500 block of East Redington Road on Dec. 22. Police said it had been dumped there sometime within the past several days.

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call the township police department at 610-317-6110.

Yard waste can be disposed of in season at the Saucon Valley Compost Center, 2011 Springtown Hill Road, Hellertown, police reminded residents.
