Lower Saucon Township Police want to locate the driver of a vehicle they say caused an accident at a busy intersection and then left the scene Saturday.

In a news release issued Sunday, police said the accident happened at the intersection of Rt. 378 and Seidersville Road at about 5:50 p.m.

The driver of the offending vehicle–which is believed to be a white van or SUV–was southbound when he or she went through a red light on Rt. 378 and struck a female motorist who was eastbound on Seidersville Road through the intersection.

The van or SUV then continued south on Rt. 378, police said.

Anyone who was in the area at that time and may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact township police at 610-317-6110 and reference case number 20150221M6442.
