Expect ‘Intermittent Stoppages’ on Rt. 412 Wednesday, Thursday

Motorists traveling along the Rt. 412 corridor between Wagner Avenue in Hellertown and Daly Avenue in Bethlehem Wednesday and Thursday, March 11-12, should expect intermittent stoppages controlled by flaggers between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., PennDOT said in a news release Monday.

According to the news release, the traffic stoppages will be for line striping work.

Motorists should expect delays and proceed with caution through the work area, and may want to consider alternate routes, PennDOT said.

A several-mile stretch of Route 412 between the north end of Hellertown and the Sands casino in South Bethlehem is currently being widened and improved as part of a multi-year, $36 million dollar project that’s supposed to be completed in 2016.
