Water Line Installation to Affect Traffic at Silvex Road Intersection

Est. Read Time: < 1 min

From Tuesday, March 17 through Friday, March 20 motorists should expect to experience delays from 6 p.m. through 5 a.m. at the intersection of Silvex Road and Rt. 412 in Bethlehem, PennDOT said in a news release Thursday.

The delays will result from water line installation and drainage crossing work, which will require intermittent traffic stoppages controlled by flaggers, the release indicated.

Motorists who will be traveling through the work zone should proceed with caution, or possibly consider alternate routes.

The busy Silvex Road intersection is adjacent to the I-78/Route 412 westbound on- and off-ramps, just north of Hellertown.

Rt. 412 between Cherry Lane and Daly Avenue in Bethlehem is currently undergoing a multi-year, $36 million widening project.
