The star of the popular reality TV series Orange County Choppers will be the headliner at the first-ever Hellertown Bikefest–a July 18 motorcycle run that will begin and end in Hellertown with a festival for motorcycle enthusiasts. The event will be held in conjunction with
Paul Teutel Sr. will lead the bike run back to Hellertown from Orange County Choppers headquarters in Newburgh, N.Y., according to a flyer and registration form for Bikefest, which calls it “a place to forget everything and meet your fellow bikers and reconnect with your community.”
The event is being co-sponsored by Dewey Fire Co., Orange County Choppers and the Heintzelman Family.
Hellertown business owner David Heintzelman is a well-known motorcycle afficionado, and made headlines in 2014 with his purchase of a custom-made motorcycle hearse that he purchased from Orange County Choppers for Heintzelman Funeral Home.
Registration for Bikefest will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Dimmick Park, Hellertown, with kickstands going up at 9:30 a.m. for the 125-mile, rain or shine ride to Newburgh.
Riders will stop for lunch, gas and shopping along the way, before returning with Teutel to Hellertown at 4 p.m. for a meet-and-greet at Forever Remembered Hearse Company.

From 4 to 10 p.m., the action will be focused at Dimmick Park, where there will be a bike show, motorcycle vendor fair, live music, food and carnival rides.
The cost to participate in the bike run to OCC headquarters is $50 per driver and $35 per passenger, which includes lunch and a commemorative t-shirt. Proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, and checks should be made payable to “Dewey Fire Co. Carnival” (with “Bike Run” in the memo line). Pre-registration is encouraged.
