The star of the popular reality TV series Orange County Choppers will be the headliner at the first-ever Hellertown Bikefest–a July 18 motorcycle run that will begin and end in Hellertown with a festival for motorcycle enthusiasts. The event will be held in conjunction with 10459102_334980590045233_1698102806211914368_o

Paul Teutel Sr. will lead the bike run back to Hellertown from Orange County Choppers headquarters in Newburgh, N.Y., according to a flyer and registration form for Bikefest, which calls it “a place to forget everything and meet your fellow bikers and reconnect with your community.”

The event is being co-sponsored by Dewey Fire Co., Orange County Choppers and the Heintzelman Family.

Hellertown business owner David Heintzelman is a well-known motorcycle afficionado, and made headlines in 2014 with his purchase of a custom-made motorcycle hearse that he purchased from Orange County Choppers for Heintzelman Funeral Home.

Registration for Bikefest will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Dimmick Park, Hellertown, with kickstands going up at 9:30 a.m. for the 125-mile, rain or shine ride to Newburgh.

Riders will stop for lunch, gas and shopping along the way, before returning with Teutel to Hellertown at 4 p.m. for a meet-and-greet at Forever Remembered Hearse Company.

From 4 to 10 p.m., the action will be focused at Dimmick Park, where there will be a bike show, motorcycle vendor fair, live music, food and carnival rides.

The cost to participate in the bike run to OCC headquarters is $50 per driver and $35 per passenger, which includes lunch and a commemorative t-shirt. Proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, and checks should be made payable to “Dewey Fire Co. Carnival” (with “Bike Run” in the memo line). Pre-registration is encouraged.
