Man Stole Money from Employee Tip Jar, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police are attempting to identify a man they say stole money from an employee tip jar before fleeing a local restaurant.

In a post Wednesday on the department’s Facebook page, police said the man took the money out of the tip jar at the Subway restaurant in the Creekside Marketplace shopping center on Leithsville Road.

In a news release issued Friday, police said he then left the store and boarded a LANTA bus, which he disembarked at the Sands Bethlehem casino.

At the time he was wearing a a black hat, a black sweatshirt and carrying a bookbag.

Anyone who recognizes the man–who was captured on store surveillance footage–should contact township police by calling 610-317-6110 or 610-759-2200.

Police did not say how much money was allegedly stolen.
