Hellertown’s popular annual Community Yard Sale will be held Saturday, June 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. However, the deadline to register and guarantee that your sale will be included on a map of all the sales is Wednesday, May 20.
Registering early also guarantees that the $5 permit fee Hellertown yard sale holders normally have to pay will be waived.
A registration form for the Community Yard Sale is available online as well as at Hellertown Borough Hall, 685 Main St., and Coldwell Banker Hearthside, Realtors, 186 Main St., Hellertown, during regular business hours. Drop boxes are available for those who’ve already filled out the form.
Borough Hall is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Coldwell Banker is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as on weekends.
Coldwell Banker realtor Trish Husted is sponsoring this year’s yard sale, which is hosted by the Hellertown Borough Business Revitalization Program and Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce.
In recent years, more than 100 borough households have participated in the yard sale, which is known to draw bargain hunters from nearby communities to Hellertown for a day of early summer shopping.
Churches such as Mountainview Moravian and Christ Lutheran Hellertown have also participated in the past by offering space for yard sales in their parking areas.
