Hellertown Police said Monday that a Saylorsburg, Monroe County man is facing various charges after he allegedly tossed a marijuana smoking pipe filled with marijuana onto the shoulder of the I-78 East on-ramp at Rt. 412 during a traffic stop Aug. 2.

According to police, Joseph E. Yamrus, of the 600 block of McCabe Lane, also “had alcohol on his breath and tested positive for alcohol.”

Police said he subsequently refused a blood test at the Bethlehem DUI Center.

Yamrus is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, driving with a DUI-related suspended driver’s license and driving on an expired driver’s license, police said.
