In a post on the department’s Facebook page Wednesday, police said the two “Port-a-Johns” in the trailhead parking lot were discovered knocked over and damaged at around 7 a.m.

After they were knocked over the first time, police said they required “extreme cleaning” by public works employees.

“In addition to the inconvenience caused by this childish behavior, it has cost township taxpayers hundreds of dollars in service and repair fees,” police said Wednesday.

In addition to the earlier mischief involving the toilets, a donated bench along the trail was flipped over and scratched.

Anyone with information about either vandalism case is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
