A man who allegedly rear-ended another motorist Thursday on I-78 in Lower Saucon Township–just west of the Hellertown exit–initially stopped to exchange information with the other driver, but then declared that the accident was not his fault and returned to his vehicle before fleeing the scene, according to an Express-Times story that cites Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast.

Police said the man is in his early 50s, was accompanied by a female passenger, and was driving a late 1990s black Nissan SUV with a chrome front bumper, according to the article.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Belfast state police barracksĀ at 610-759-6106 and reference incident number M06-1605619.
