Lower Saucon Township Police say a Bethlehem man has been charged with burglary, trespassing, stalking and making terroristic threats after he allegedly entered a home in the 2400 block of Black River Road Sunday and threatened to smash things and burn the house down.

In a news release issued Monday, police said Michael Nemeth, 30, of the 1200 block of Lorain Avenue, was intoxicated when he allegedly entered the unoccupied home of an ex-girlfriend by climbing through a window shortly before 3 a.m.

Police said officers were called to the home by Nemeth’s ex, and that he was there waiting for a second woman who lives elsewhere in the township “to return for her vehicle” when he was taken into custody.

After being arraigned before District Judge James Narlesky, police said Nemeth was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
