Lower Saucon Township Police say the man who allegedly caused a rollover accident in the 3500 block of Reservoir Road Thursday afternoon was driving “at a high rate of speed” and has been charged with both careless driving and speeding.

In a news release issued Friday, police said Stephen Housenick, 18, of the 1500 block of Highland Court, Lower Saucon Township, was northbound when he lost control of his car–a white Mitsubishi–and collided with another vehicle operated by a 45-year-old township woman near Wassergass Road.

The impact of the collision caused the woman’s SUV to bounce off Housenick’s Mitsubishi and pushed it into an embankment, where it completely rolled over, police said.

Housenick’s car came to rest on the opposite side of the road, which was closed for a time as a result of the crash.

Police said everyone involved in the accident was evaluated at the scene by medics and that there were no injuries reported.
