Chip Company Money Bag Stolen from Delivery Truck, Police Say

A money bag containing $530 was reported stolen from a popular potato chip company’s delivery truck while it was en route between retail businesses along the Rt. 378 corridor Tuesday, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release.

According to police, the red Herr Foods Inc. money bag may have been taken from the truck sometime between 11:43 a.m. and 12:48 p.m., while it traveled between Mario’s Pizza Cafe, Speedway, Exxon and Dollar Tree.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
