Lower Saucon Township Police issued a suspicious activity alert Monday night in which they warned residents not to give out personal information.

What prompted the alert, police said, was a knock on a resident’s door Sunday afternoon by a man who said he was delivering a child ID kit ordered online.

“The resident never ordered anything online and when the male was asked for ID, his name or a phone number, he stated ‘nevermind’ and left,” police said.

They added that the man “left the area in a black extended cab smaller Ford truck.”

In a Facebook post shared with Saucon Source publisher Josh Popichak, the resident said someone–possibly the same man–also contacted her by phone Monday about a child ID kit order.

When she asked him which website had been used to order the ID and told him she was concerned, she said “he quickly said ‘OK thanks have a nice day” and hung up.”

The second incident was also reported to township police, she said in the post.

Township residents should contact police immediately and–if possible–try to obtain a name, vehicle description and vehicle registration number if they experience something similar.

Lower Saucon police can be contacted by calling 610-317-6110.
