Men Had More Than $850 in Counterfeit Bills, Police Say

Hellertown Police Friday announced charges against two Brooklyn men they said were found in possession of counterfeit $20 bills late last month.

In a news release, police said Raymond Daniels Jr., 24, of the 200 block of Rutland Road, and Lincoln Isaac, 21, of the first block of Durland Place, were stopped in the 100 block of Main Street on the evening of Nov. 27.

At that time police said they were found to be in possession of 43 counterfeit $20 bills “as well as stolen credit cards.”

“The Hellertown Police Department later discovered they had purchased a prepaid gift card using six additional bills,” the news release stated.

Both Daniels and Isaac have been charged with forgery, conspiracy to commit forgery, theft by deception and receiving stolen property.

Both men were committed to Northampton County Prison after being arraigned on those charges, police said.
