A man who drifted off the roadway and drove head-on into a utility pole in the 3600 block of Hickory Hill Road Tuesday morning told officers he couldn’t remember what happened, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release Wednesday.

According to police, the Lower Saucon Township resident “made a statement like, ‘I don’t remember, I blacked out and I have a history of seizures'” following the 9:39 a.m. crash.

Police said witnesses reported that as they observed the man’s vehicle drifting off the road “no brake lights or other evasive actions were observed.”

Police did not indicate whether they plan to file charges related to the accident.
