Juvenile Found With Packaged Marijuana Near South Mountain Park, Police Say

A juvenile who was in a car that was stopped by Lower Saucon Township Police near South Mountain Park April 18 was found to be in possession of “marijuana individually packaged along with numerous items and sums of cash,” police said in a news release Saturday.

A juvenile who was in a car that was stopped by Lower Saucon Township Police near South Mountain Park April 18 was found to be in possession of “marijuana individually packaged along with numerous items and sums of cash,” police said in a news release Saturday.

According to police, the vehicle was stopped at 1:26 p.m. for a traffic infraction, and an officer began an investigation after allegedly detecting the odor of marijuana within the vehicle.

The juvenile who was allegedly in possession of the packages was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and a turn signal violation, police said.

There was another juvenile in the car at the time of the traffic stop, they added.

South Mountain Park is located at 1599 E. University Avenue.
