Blue and White Truck Took Down Overhead Wires, Kept on Going, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police are investigating an incident in whicht they say a truck struck overhead Verizon and RCN wires on Lower Saucon Road in the area of Buttermilk Road Tuesday afternoon.

Lower Saucon Township Police are investigating an incident in whicht they say a truck struck overhead Verizon and RCN wires on Lower Saucon Road in the area of Buttermilk Road Tuesday afternoon.

In a news release issued Thursday, police said the truck was described by a witness as having a blue cab and a white cargo area.

After the wires were struck, shortly before 2:45 p.m., it continued traveling north on Lower Saucon Road without stopping, police added.

The road was temporarily closed in that area due to the accident.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
