Under clear skies, with a balmy breeze blowing, the 2016 Dewey Fire Co. Carnival opened in Dimmick Park, Hellertown, Tuesday evening, and attendance was robust.

Under clear skies, with a balmy breeze blowing, the 2016 Dewey Fire Co. Carnival opened in Dimmick Park, Hellertown, Tuesday evening, and attendance was robust.

In addition to the midway, it was EMS Night at the carnival, with local fire and emergency vehicles on display and a K-9 demonstration by Lower Saucon Township Police Dept. Ofc. Steve Kunigus and his partner Atos (EMS and demonstration photos by Lori Stinner).

The carnival continues through Saturday, July 16, nightly, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Dimmick Park, next to the fire company.

Fireworks will be held Friday at 10 p.m., and single price (“wristband”) nights are Wednesday and Thursday for $20.
