The 2-year-old sister of a 5-year-old boy killed in a car accident on I-78 East in Lower Saucon Township early Wednesday died Friday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest from injuries she suffered in the same accident, according to a Morning Call article that cites Lehigh County First Deputy Coroner Eric Minnich.

Brielle Robinson, of Newark, N.J., was traveling with her mother, brother and 54-year-old Nadine Walton, also of Newark, when Walton apparently lost control of her car east of the Hellertown exit and hit a guard rail, ejecting her passengers.

Although open containers of alcohol were reportedly found in the car, police have not blamed the crash on drunk driving and are continuing to investigate it.
