The Panthers take the field!

Saturday was Week 4 for Saucon Valley youth football and cheerleading. The Saucon Valley Little Panther 90 and 110 pound teams hosted Bangor White at Dimmick Park. Flags and 130s had the day off.

The Saucon Valley youth coaches have again volunteered to recognize the efforts of some boys and girls participating on their teams. Saucon Source is proud to be partnering with the youth coaches and sharing these accomplishments with you!

This recognition is a fun and special way for the coaches to show their appreciation and gratitude for the hard work and dedication the boys and girls invest in the football and cheer programs.

SV youth football offers “Panther Pride” awards, while cheering will choose girls for  “Panther Spirit” awards.

THIS WEEK THE SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON………..

SV Little Panther Constantine Donahue outruns the defense to paydirt.

Another score by the Little Panthers!

90 POUNDERS (0-4)

Game Summary: The 90s are improving every week and getting closer to that first win. Saturday, the 90s came up just short falling to Bangor White 6-0 in triple overtime. Keep working hard and keep having fun boys, your efforts will soon be rewarded!

110 POUNDERS (4-0)

Game Summary: 110s won again, 31-0. The Panthers benefitted from scores by Omar Torres, Landon Beckowski (2 TD’s), Jared Rohn, and Constantine Donahue.  Whether it was “Lead”, “Sweep”, “End Around” or “Misdirection,” these guys hit some long range bombs from 40, 50, 60 and 90 yards out!

The 110 coaches would like to recognize Caleb Grim for having a great day from his offensive line position. The coaches said he helped open holes big enough that a “Mack Truck” could have driven through.

The coaches have also identified Christopher Hill and Jackson Albert for playing great games from their defensive positions. These two cornerbacks did a fantastic job containing the Bangor offense. Opponents have no easy task getting outside these perimeter protectors!

In addition, the coaching staff recommended Aiden Grogg for a “Panther Pride” honor. While Aiden sustained what is likely a season ending injury two weeks ago in the Williams Township game, it has not stopped him from being a great teammate. Aiden has been at every practice since his injury and does whatever he can to help his team and coaches. Even while his grandfather was fighting for his life the past two weeks, Aiden continued to make him proud with his dedication and leadership. This Little Panther, no doubt, sets an example for all youngsters to follow.
