Esther M. Kressler, 94, of Hellertown, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016 at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. She was the wife of the late Montford W. Kressler Sr., who died May 28, 2014. She was born in Quakertown on April 14, 1922 to the late Morten and Martha (Johanneson) Thompson. She worked for the former Phoenix Clothing, Allentown, as a sewing machine operator. Esther was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Springtown, and the Order of Eastern Star, Coopersburg.
SURVIVORS
Children: Arianne Horwath of Coopersburg, Montford W. Jr. (Barbara A.) Kressler of Hellertown; brother: Martin (Jane) Thompson of West Virginia; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings: Mabel Wadell, Alfred, Roy and Elizabeth Thompson.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Evelyn A. Stupp officiating. The interment will conclude services at Springtown Cemetery.
