Va. Man Arrested With Illegal Firearm, Marijuana in Hellertown, Police Say

Hellertown Police said Tuesday that a Richmond, Va., man is facing charges after he was allegedly found to be in possession of an illegal firearm and marijuana at Top Star Exxon, 1570 Main St., shortly after 10 p.m. Sept. 28.

Hellertown Police said Tuesday that a Richmond, Va., man is facing charges after he was allegedly found to be in possession of an illegal firearm and marijuana at Top Star Exxon, 1570 Main St., shortly after 10 p.m. Sept. 28.

In a news release and in court records, police said Marcquis Levonte Braxton, 22, is charged with Firearms Not to Be Carried Without a License (a third-degree felony), misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary charge of driving an unregistered vehicle.

According to court records, Braxton was jailed at Northampton County Prison following a preliminary arraignment Sept. 29 before District Judge John C. Capobianco, who set his bail at 10 percent of $10,000.
