Hey Panther Nation! Saucon Valley’s Homecoming celebration is always something special, which is why Saucon Source wanted to create something memorable to help celebrate school spirit at this year’s football game.
If you’re not yet on Snapchat, you probably know it’s the social media of choice for many teenagers, which is why our #SVPantherPride campaign will utilize Snapchat as opposed to Facebook.
To create a Snapchat account, click here, or download the free app directly from the App Store or Google Play.
Here’s how the campaign will work:
From 6 to 10 p.m. this Friday, during the football game, an exclusive 2016 Saucon Homecoming geofilter created by Jennifer Sparks of Happy Seahorse Designs (see below) will be available for Snapchat users inside Saucon Valley School District Stadium. Use it to capture memorable photos of yourself, your friends and all the action and excitement at the game.
Then, screenshot your favorite ‘snaps’ and tweet them to @SauconSource and use the hashtag #SVPantherPride for publication in a “Saucon Homecoming 2016 Gallery” that will be published on Saucon Source!
Note: What is a geofilter? Essentially it’s a graphic overlay for photos you take using the Snapchat app which is only available for a certain time in a certain place.
