Lower Saucon Township Police said Monday that charges of DUI and careless driving have been filed against a man who allegedly lost control of his vehicle in an S-curve and crashed at Applebutter Road at Ringhoffer Road at 11:35 p.m. Nov. 4.

Police said officers arrived at the crash scene to find Alexander Hulett, 26, of the 2500 block of Martins Lane, Lower Saucon, “laying down in the vehicle,” which had become stuck on a rock.

“Skid marks indicate (Hulett) lost control in the S-curves, then hit a stop sign and mailbox,” police said.

Police said Hulett’s blood alcohol content was allegedly .11 percent, which is above the legal limit for most drivers of .08 percent.
