Man Trespassed at Condemned Home He Used to Own, Police Say

The former owner of a home at 56 Hess Ave., Hellertown, was charged with defiant trespassing and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail, after police say he was found inside the home Monday afternoon.

The former owner of a home at 56 Hess Ave., Hellertown, was charged with defiant trespassing and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail, after police say he was found inside the home Monday afternoon.

In a news release Tuesday, police said Fred C. Chen, 52, no address given, owned the home before it was foreclosed upon.

The home was condemned by the borough’s Codes Enforcement department on Oct. 10, police added.
