‘Mannequin Challenge’ to Cap Off No Shave November Challenge in Hellertown (Letter)

On Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at 4 p.m. at the Hellertown Clock Tower (in Detwiller Plaza) the participants in David Heintzelman’s No Shave November Challenge will participate in a Mannequin Challenge, as a conclusion to the month-long fundraiser.

The concept of No Shave November is to bring awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow. Monies are raised to educate about cancer prevention, save lives and aid those fighting the battle.
The Heintzelman Family challenged the Hellertown Police Department, Council and Saucon Source to take an active role in this event. The Heintzelman family said they would match up to $5,000 to fund this event so our community could bring awareness to this terrible disease (click here to make an online donation).
On Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at 4 p.m. at the Hellertown Clock Tower (Detwiller Plaza) the participants will also participate in a Mannequin Challenge (a viral Internet trend in which participants remain frozen like mannequins).
Please come out and support this event as we continue to show Hellertown families that we care about those going through this difficult time and that it not only involves the patient but the families as well.
For those who haven’t had the time to personally contribute to this event, there will be a bucket provided in which to place your change and dollars (credit card payments will also be accepted).
Remember, cancer strikes everyone in one way or another. We need to fund education and eventually cures. Thank you for coming out and we will see you around the beautiful landmark of Hellertown–the Hellertown Clock Tower!
