UPDATE: Due to a last-minute fire call Sunday the Santa Run was postponed until Monday. Santa will make his Hellertown tour Monday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. The Lower Saucon Fire Rescue Santa Run was cancelled due to the fire call Sunday.
Dewey Fire Co. announced late Sunday morning that their annual Santa Run, scheduled to begin at noon, would be scaled back and abbreviated due to the rain that is soaking the area.
The toys that some families arranged to have Santa deliver at their homes will still be delivered throughout town.
Lower Saucon Fire Rescue also announced on Facebook Sunday morning that their Santa Run in parts of Lower Saucon Township wouldn’t begin until 2 p.m.
Saturday’s Breakfast With Santa at the Dewey Fire Co. banquet hall–sponsored by Lehigh Valley Area AMBUCS– was canceled due to icy conditions, so it has been a somewhat disappointing weekend for Christmas festivities in the Saucon Valley
