Lower Saucon Township Police want the public’s help with identifying the driver of a white Toyota Prius driver they say “destroyed” a PennDOT speed limit sign along Flint Hill Road in a hit-and-run accident Sunday morning.

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said the driver was approaching the Rt. 412 intersection at around 9:20 a.m. when the car left the roadway and struck the sign, which police said “was destroyed and will need to be replaced.”

“The vehicle then left the scene without reporting the accident,” police said, adding that a side view mirror was broken off and left “dangling by electrical wires.”

The car’s front bumper was also damaged in the crash, with part of it “missing,” they said.

Anyone with information about the identity of the driver is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
