In a news release issued Thursday, police said the money was stolen by an unidentified man who entered the restaurant with a female companion to order and pay for food.

“While waiting for their order, the male reached his hand in the tip jar and took an unknown amount of money,” police said.

Police added that the couple appeared to be in their 30s or 40s, but said there was no further identifying information provided.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
