Hellertown Police Wednesday announced the filing of charges against a Lower Saucon Township man they say allegedly altered a check.

Hellertown Police Wednesday announced the filing of charges against a Lower Saucon Township man they say allegedly altered a check.

In a news release, police said Kasey Keith Appel, 21, has been charged with Felony 2 forgery and Misdemeanor 1 theft following an investigation that began May 5.

Police listed the date of the alleged check altering as Sept. 23, 2016.

According to online court records, Appel is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing in District Court 03-2-04 on the charges.
