LaRue A. Cook, 88, formerly of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehab Center, Lehighton.

LaRue A. Cook, 88, formerly of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehab Center, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Austin N. Cook, who died Jan. 10, 2007. LaRue was born in Eldred Township on Aug. 19, 1928 to the late Leroy and Irene (Renn) Kimmel. She worked in private housekeeping for the late Dr. Hemmerly, Bethlehem, for 30 years.

SURVIVORS

Children: Debbie R. (Floyd C.) Allem of Jim Thorpe, Patti D. (Vince C.) Brooks of Lehighton, Shawn P. (Lisa M.) Cook of Whitehall; grandchildren: Danielle Troxell, Jeremy Brooks, Kailee Allem and Alexandra Cook; great-grandchildren: Madisyn Brooks, Austin Brooks, Cameron Troxell. She was predeceased by brother: Paul Kimmel; twin sister: Lorraine Bristol; sister: Ruth Hoyt.

SERVICE

Private services will be held at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The interment will conclude services at Bethlehem Memorial Park. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
