Nancy Louise Schaffer Mihalko (1944 – 2026)

Nancy Louise Schaffer Mihalko, 81, of the Borough of Coopersburg, Lehigh County, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township. Born in Emmaus on June 24, 1944, Nancy was the cherished daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret (Reis) Schaffer. Nancy spent her career as a dedicated laborer in the printing industry, working for the former Robwin Press in Allentown. She was a woman of simple pleasures who found joy in the community around her. An avid sports fan, she loved cheering on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Nancy also possessed a deep and enduring faith. She was a devoted member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Coopersburg prior to its closing, and she held the memories of her church family close to her heart.

SURVIVORS

Nancy will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family, including her son: David Mihalko and his partner, Courtni Peugh, of La Quinta, Calif.; sister: Joan Miles of Florida; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren. She was reunited in peace with her son, Timothy, who preceded her in death.

SERVICES

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Northwood Cemetery, Emmaus, where the interment will conclude services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
